Why is our supplement unique?

mineralsanddetox
Polbroccoli is a dietary supplement designed to support the body in the face of cancer risk, support bone health and the proper aging process. Its only ingredient is a lyophilized extract from the aerial part of broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica). The source of raw material to produce the supplement are plants organically grown in Poland in areas far from industrial pollution and on the highest quality soil in Europe. Our product does not contain any fillers or other inactive ingredients. This allows you to fit significantly larger amounts of active substances into a smaller than usual capsule (300 mg). This is good news for people who cannot swallow large capsules. The capsule size of other products of this type is even twice as big.

What is the nutritional value of broccoli?

Broccoli is an exclusively cultivated plant. It was already cultivated in ancient Greece and Rome. The above-ground part of the plant used to produce our supplement resembles cauliflower, which is a different but closely related group of varieties of the same Brassica species. Broccoli has large flower heads or florets, usually dark green, arranged in a woody structure branching from a thick stem that is usually light green. The mass of flower heads is surrounded by leaves. Broccoli is a rich source of vitamins (A, C, and K), minerals (calcium, potassium, and iron) and strong antioxidants (phenolic acids, flavonoids, carotenoids). Their most important health-promoting properties result from the abundant content of glucosinolates in broccoli, which, together with their derivatives, are very important biologically active substances (sulforaphane, indole-3- carbinol, DIM).

Health benefits of using broccoli preparation:

Broccoli is a rich source of antioxidants that protect the body against damage by free radicals and thus reduce the risk of developing many chronic diseases. All plants from the cabbage family, especially broccoli, are known for the content of substances that have been shown to have antiproliferative effects in numerous scientific studies. These are glucosinolates, which are transformed in the body into cancer-fighting substances (sulforaphane, DIM). There is increasing evidence that sulforaphane is effective in the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, skin cancer, bladder cancer and oral cancer [2]. Recently, the theory of cancer stem cells has emerged, which is believed to be responsible for the metastasis and recurrence of malignant tumors even many years after the initial onset of the disease. Conventional cancer treatment is not effective in most cases because it does not destroy these cells. However, sulforaphane has proven effective in scientific studies [3]. In Asian countries where dairy products are not popular (although it is considered in many parts of the word to be an important source of calcium for bone health), the percentage of osteoporosis in older people is much lower than in Western countries. This is due to high consumption of cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli. Broccoli is a rich and very easily digestible source of vitamin K, calcium, and other minerals [1]. The content of vitamin A and antioxidants in broccoli means that taking a high-quality supplement from this plant can help prevent the development of cataracts and macular degeneration of the retina [1]. In many clinical studies, sulforaphane has been shown to have an effect on the central nervous system that protects it against degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s dementia [1,4]. This effect is due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects on the brain.

Why Meta-celery?
