What is unique about Minerals and Detox dietary supplement?

It contains freeze-dried vinegar from pear fruit, the trees of which are grown organically in Poland, in areas far from industrial pollution and on the least degraded and cleanest soil in Europe. The parts of the fruit that are most rich in active substances were used in the production of the supplement. It has been established that the peel and the part of the pear fruit that is right underneath it contains up to 8 times more various important natural substances than other parts of the fruit [2]. The fermentation process allows you to extract the most absorbable forms of natural chemical compounds contained in the pear [1]. These are flavonoids, triterpenoids, phenolic acids (arbutin, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, malaxinic acid). Pears are rich in fiber, vitamins (vitamin C) and minerals. They have calcium, magnesium, boron (bone health), iodine (thyroid) and even significant amounts of copper (very important for blood, eye, and prostate health).

How can Minerals and Detox be helpful?

Before humanity learned about antibiotics, natural antibiotics were used, including vinegar. Many older people still associate the smell of vinegar with a serious illness. Pear vinegar contains arbutin, which has an antimicrobial effect on pathological microbes. One of the scientific studies involving it found that it can alleviate the symptoms of acute colitis [6]. This drew attention to the mechanism of the anti-inflammatory effect of pear vinegar, which involves, among other things, reducing the level of IL-6 in the blood. This interleukin is responsible for the so-called cytokine storm and life-threatening pulmonary complications during Covid-19 [7]. Pear is a source of substances that can help fight this disease [5].

Pear vinegar can be beneficial to your health in two ways. This may be due to the action of the natural substances contained in it. The second way is to have a beneficial effect on the digestion process and the bacterial flora of the digestive tract. In addition to the above-mentioned anti-inflammatory and immune response-modulating effects, its beneficial effect on weight loss, antidiabetic, normalizing blood lipids [1.2] and antioxidant and antimutagenic effects has been noticed (mutation may be the beginning of cancer). It is also believed to have a detoxifying effect – helping to remove xenobiotic toxins from the body (synthetic environmental toxins such as pesticides, synthetic drugs and other substances not found in nature that disturb the proper functioning of the body) [5].

The second ingredient of the Minerals and Detox supplement is micronized fiber (pectin) obtained from a special species of apples characterized by an exceptionally high content of pectin and other natural biologically active substances. Micronized pectin can penetrate the blood and have a beneficial effect on the health of the entire body by inhibiting excessive inflammation and pathological fibrosis (liver cirrhosis, kidney failure, atherosclerosis). Their anticancer effects are also known [3]. This fiber has a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal flora (as a prebiotic) and thus helps protect the liver against the effects of metabolic and environmental toxins [4]. Adding micronized apple fiber is a brilliant solution to eliminate capsule fillers that are harmful to health (e.g., magnesium stearate). Plants and fruits that are the raw material for our supplements are organically grown in Poland, away from industrial pollution. They are grown in areas with the cleanest and least degraded arable land. This guarantees the best possible and ecologically cleanest content of natural active substances.

Joanne Slavin, PhD, RD, is a professor in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, University of Minnesota, St Paul. She grew up on a dairy farm in Walworth, Wisconsin, which she still owns with her 2 sisters. She is a distinguished nutrition scientist who is best known for her work on dietary fiber and protein.
